As promised, . Unlike the Android-based OEMs, the update is seeding worldwide, for iOS6-compliant iDevices — iPhone 4 and above; iPad 2 and above and the 5th-gen iPod touch. While a report in The Telegraph suggests that Apple servers suffered an outage after the update went live thanks to the overzealous Apple fans, a drop in the battery life in the iPhone5 has also been noticed. The update is between 600 MB and 950 MB based on the device you have.
You can check out the complete list of features here. That said, the update will not bring all functionalities to all devices. For instance camera filters and panorama support will be available on iPhone 4s or later, and iPod touch 32 GB/64 GB variants. Similarly, SIRI will come only for iPhone 4s or later, iPad with Retina display, iPad mini, and iPod touch, and may not be available in all regions. AirDrop will be available on iPhone 5 or later, 4th-gen iPad, iPad mini, and iPod touch and needs iCloud account support. The complete list is here.
